We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rhian McCarroll as Physical Activity Programme Coordinator with Cara. Rhian will be based out of our Dublin office in Sports HQ, working alongside Odhran and Brenda.

“I am thrilled to be part of the growing Cara team and I am looking forward to working together to put disability sport and inclusive physical activity at the heart of our nation. I am passionate about the positive impact physical activity and sport can play on peoples’ lives and I am eager to get stuck into my role as the Physical Activity Programmes Coordinator, providing opportunities for people with disabilities to take part in an educational programme at their local daycare service.”
Working in partnership with the HSE and Sport Ireland, Rhian will be helping to increase the knowledge and understanding of people with disabilities on the importance and benefits of being physically active and raise awareness of the opportunities that are available to them to participate within their local community.
Having previously worked in the disability and inclusion sector for 4 years, Rhian’s previous role with Activity Alliance included programme officer and manager roles, working on the Inclusive Activity Programme and Sainsbury’s Inclusive PE Training programme. Through this role and her prior role with the Youth Sport Trust, Rhian worked closely with various National Governing Bodies, Sport England, UK Coaching, NDSO’s, County Sports Partnerships and the National Disability Sports Organisations across the UK.
We are delighted to welcome Rhian to team – Niamh Daffy, MD Cara
