Training and Education

Active Disability Ireland coordinates, develops and delivers inclusive training and education workshops across the Sport, Health, Education and Community sectors. Our workshops are designed to equip participants with the knowledge, competence and skills required to include people with disabilities in sport and physical activity, supporting increased quality and inclusive provision.

Our training framework is currently under review from January to April 2026. During this review period, the following workshops remain available:

  • Sports Inclusion Disability Awareness (SIDA) eLearning, including a free follow-up online workshop each month to support participants to put their learning into practice
  • Sports Inclusion Disability Awareness Training for Board Members
  • The Xcessible Club Toolkit Roadshow will take place across four regions from February to May.
The first event will be held on Monday, 23 February, at the National Sports Campus (Pavilion) from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
