Niamh Daffy, CEO of Cara, has been profiled as one of the 50 Women of Influence in Irish Sport 2021.
Niamh is passionate in her work of overseeing and managing a number of programmes and initiatives in Ireland to help increase participation in sport and physical activity for people with disabilities, such as the Inclusive Volunteer Programme, the Sport Inclusion Disability Charter, Fit For All Week, the Xcessible programme, Active Healthy Me in partnership with the HSE, as well as strengthening links between local communities and disability services.
Niamh also sits on the Sport leadership Group charged by the Government with advising on the implementation of the National Sports policy and is a powerful advocate for people with disabilities and their right as much as anyone else to sport and physical activity.
This recognition from Sport For Business and AIG is hugely deserved and appreciated.
